I learnt kathak at a tender age. It changed my posture and grace to carry my body forever. There is no harm in learning any dance form of the world but trust me, not knowing any Indian Classical Dance for is non negotiable. Boy/Girl I insist must learn Indian Classical Music and Dance ( be it any Indian Form/ Gharana) I have a strongly insist Primary Education in Mother Tongue and primary training of Indian Classics for every Indian child. Be it literature/music/dance. I promise it will change your life forever n for better. It’s not enough just to salute the tiranga on 15th august n consider only that as our pride, it is important to inherit the culture of india, the legacy of our rich art, language and heritage is also must learn (for me).
